Congratulations!

You are expecting a new little bundle of joy and I cannot wait to help you document this special time your life! These are images you will cherish forever and deciding which type of newborn session you’d like is your first step.

I am pleased to offer two very unique types of newborn sessions ~ Lifestyle and Studio. Take a minute to carefully read about each one and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Lifestyle Sessions

$400

I absolutely love newborn sessions at home! There is no place where you are more comfortable and that always shines through in the images. The majority of the shoot will take place in the nursery. Depending on the light in your home, we can use the den or master bedroom areas, too. We can also take some photos outdoors if the weather permits (ideal for spring and summer due dates!)

During your session, my goal is to capture the relationship between the new baby and his/her parents and siblings.  I will be sure to take individual shots of your new, little one and capture those adorable detail shots of his/her little fingers and toes.  I am happy to incorporate any ideas you might have, too!  As for props, I always bring muslin swaddling blankets, simple headbands for baby girls and cute hats for the boys.  A family quilt or baby blanket are always a beautiful touch, too! We can use as many or as little props as you’d like.

Lifestyle sessions take place 1-2 weeks after delivery and last about 2 hours. Sessions at home are wonderful option for those families with younger siblings, as they can play and go about their normal routine when we are done shooting pictures with them.

Studio Sessions

$450

If you are looking for posed newborn images using creative props, my studio is the best choice. Studio sessions take place 8-10 days after delivery. Newborns photograph beautifully while sleeping. In order to get those perfect sleepy newborn shots, the studio is often heated to 80 degrees and we use space heaters, heating pads, blankets, and noise machines to get your baby into that happy, sleepy state. We will get various images of family members with your newborn, as well as, individual images of your little one.

I love that the studio is in my home. It is a quaint and relaxed atmosphere, where we can chat and get to know one another while I shoot. There is a playroom in the next room for your little one's to use and I will have coffee brewing when you arrive!

One of the best things about a studio session is that you will have access to all of my props! As you can see from the images on my website and social media, I like to keep props very simple. This lets your little one take center stage. I have hats, headbands, wraps, buckets, and baskets in various colors and sizes. I will email you a questionnaire before you deliver where you can request certain colors and props.  This will help me prep several options before you arrive.  If something catches your eye once you are in the studio, we can always change it up.

Each of these sessions comes with 30 digital images, an online gallery and a print release. You will be able to download your images, share your gallery with friends & family, and print as you wish.

I hope these descriptions have made your choice a bit easier. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have now or as we get closer to your due date!
