I am so excited to capture some fun and memorable moments of you and your family!
Below are a few tips & tricks that are intended to help our session run smoothly. Please take a minute to read them carefully!
LOCATION & ARRIVAL
Roslyn Retreat Center

Once you pull into the entrance you will pass a tiny building on your left and houses on your right. Continue on the road until you see the row of parking spaces. Park here and I will meet you in the field across from the lot.
Kiddos and Cooperation
We have all tried taking pictures of our kiddos and they just aren't having it! If 8 years of teaching 1st grade taught me anything, it was lots of patience. Kids like to have fun and that is exactly what I try to do during our time together. You will definitely see me making faces, being silly, and laughing, a lot! And, I hope you do, too. If they get a little too wild, THAT IS OK. It happens at almost every session I have. We will do our best to reign them back in. I can honestly say that my favorite images are those where everyone is engaged and has those big, genuine smiles!
There are a few things you can do to help prepare your children for our session:
* Arrive at least 15 minutes early to your session. This will give you time to park, brush hair, make sure faces are clean, etc
*Eat a snack/meal before our session and use the restroom.
*Talk about our session and the purpose of it.
*Have a small treat to give afterwards for good behavior AND talk about what they will receive for good behavior on way to our session.
Capturing those little moments
Don’t be afraid to pick up your children and toss them in the air. Give your hubby a sweet kiss on the cheek. Tell your kiddos how much you love them. Have fun. Laugh. Giggle. Joke. Embrace. Kiss. Snuggle. Play. Doing these things will allow me to capture real emotions and smiles.
The best photographs are often the ones where everyone is engaged or interacting with each other. Understand that not every picture needs to have everyone looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. If you are engaged as a family and loving on each other, your eyes will be on your family members and your smile with be natural!
These are the photographs that you will cherish most because they depict your family's connection and your love!
YOUR GALLERY
If you're anything like me, you will be waiting on pins and needles to see your images! I will start working on them right away and will have your completed gallery to you in 2 weeks. You will receive an email from me that contains a link to your online gallery. You can look through your images, share the gallery with friends & family, and download them right to your computer.
You can even order prints and canvases directly from your gallery that are printed and shipped from a professional print lab and shipped right to you!
